Dear
Friends of the Science Museum,
The Lodi Science Museum is now known as the World of Wonders Science Museum, or the WOW Science Museum. So much has gone on in the last few months:
- the 501(c)3
has been submitted and we are waiting approval
- we have a signed lease
option for 12,000 sq.
ft. of space in the parking structure in Downtown Lodi
- fundraising efforts are in
high gear
- we have put together a
power point presentation,
and
- we have a website at wowsciencemuseum.org.
How you can help
The Board of Directors, Officers, and Volunteers now need your help. We have formed committees for the jobs that need to be done and fundraising is our first priority. We need money to make building improvements, acquire exhibits, pay for advertising, and all of the other expenses it takes to start a science museum. Please help us spread the word and go to wowsciencemuseum.org where you can get more details on all of our activities.
Science at the Lake
Our first public fundraiser, "Science at the Lake", is Saturday, September 2nd. Tickets are available for our Lodi Lake BBQ featuring live music, science exhibits, a silent auction, and raffles. At this family event we hope to inspire young scientists, build community awareness for our project, and raise funds to begin the building improvements. You can help us by spreading the word, donating a silent auction item, helping to underwrite the costs, encouraging ticket sales, or simply by attending the event.
Please let us know how you would like to be a part of bringing the WOW Science Museum to our community. Whether you volunteer your time, donate an exhibit, help with the improvements to the building, or donate money, everyone can be involved.
