Friends of the WOW,The WOW Science Museum is closer to becoming a reality every day. First of all, on behalf of all of us on the board, thank you all so much for your fantastic support this past year. We have made many miles of progress in such a short time! As you may know, our lease agreement with the City of Lodi gave us 6 months to raise $165,000 - that deadline arrives February 2, 2007. We are proud to announce that we are within striking distance of that goal,
having raised over $140,000 to date! First of all, we have our Casino Night coming up this Friday night. If you haven't already bought your tickets, go online and do so! We
have a slew of exciting silent auction items, and some great prizes including a telescope donated by the Lodi School Store! As soon as we have our $165,000 the City will hand over the keys for us to start the building improvements. Our WOW Science
Museum will be everything we dreamed of and more. It has been amazing to see how the community has come forward, committing to help us with design, construction, programming and supplies. Wow, indeed! |
Casino NightMark your calendars for Friday, January 26, and purchase your tickets for an evening event that is sure to be a blast! It's the WOW Casino Night at the Women's Club, and your $30 ticket includes gambling chips for craps, roulette, blackjack, and texas hold'em. There will also be a silent auction and raffle, and all proceeds go to the Museum. Find out more. The 300 ClubIt's your chance to win up to $1200! The WOW Science Museum has launched its newest fundraiser, “The 300 Club.” Three hundred raffle tickets at $30 a piece are being sold for a chance to win $100 every month in the year 2007. Our fist winning ticket will be drawn at the Casino Night this month. Then, all tickets will go back in the pot for the next month's drawing. |
