Dear WOW Supporters and Friends,
We would like to keep you updated on all of
the upcoming events for The World of Wonders
Science Museum.
Volunteer at Upcoming Events
We
have many events going on in the next few months
to promote and spread awareness of the museum. Please
take a moment to review our
upcoming event list,
and consider filling out our
Volunteer Information Sheet (PDF) to let us
know how you can help.
We need volunteers at a most of these events
but help is needed specifically at and the Lodi Street Faire
on May 6, so please contact Lynn
(lynn@wowsciencemuseum.org or 209-329-3344)
if you would like to get involved.
Exploratorium Field Trip
Save the date for our Field Trip to the
Exploratorium on Saturday, May 12. We’ll be
leaving Lodi at 8AM and be returning by 6PM. The
cost for the bus ride is just $20 per person
plus your admission to the S.F. Exploratorium.
We are making this trip an interactive fun
filled research event to look at which exhibits
we may want in our own WOW Science Museum. We
will also be stopping on the wharf for lunch!
Please mail in your check for $20 ASAP to
save your spot on the WOW Bus. All checks should
be made out to the WOW and mailed to P.O. Box
1671, Woodbridge, CA 95258. Please include your
telephone number and address so that we may
return the itinerary to you with specifics.
Fourth of July Fundraiser
Our next major fund raiser will be on July
4th at Lodi Lake. The Lodi Rotary Club and the
World of Wonders Science Museum have partnered
in renting the whole north side of Lodi Lake to
“Celebrate America”.
This will be a family friendly afternoon full
of the old fashion 4th of July celebrations with
three-legged races, watermelon eating contests,
cotton candy, science exhibits and more. The
splendor of Lodi’s grand display of fireworks
will bring the night to a close.
We are dedicated in bringing back what the
4th of July means to our town. We’ll keep you
posted.
Once again, we appreciate your support
because we can not do this without you! We need
your continued support to open the doors of the
WOW in 2008!
Sincerely,
Sally Snyde
