WOW Update - January 23, 2008

With the new year upon us, the World of Wonders Science Museum is ready to break ground! And, you're invited.

Groundbreaking Ceremony (Jan 24 - this Thursday!)

We are excited to announce the WOW Ground Breaking Ceremony will be Thursday, January 24th, 10AM at the Museum, 2 North Sacramento Street in Lodi. Bring your shovels! We are eager to fulfill our mission to provide a safe family-oriented attraction where scientific learning will complement school children’s education and stimulate the child in all of us.

Casino Night (Feb 29)

On Friday, February 29th from 7 to 11pm, come and support the World of Wonders at our second annual Casino Night! Play craps, roulette, blackjack, and more while winning raffle tickets for some fabulous prizes.

The Vegas-style action takes place right here in Lodi, at the Merlot on 23 W. Elm Street. Tickets, $30 per person which includes $30 in gambling chips, will be available at the door, and beer and wine will be available.

WOW Golf Tournament (Apr 14)

One of our next major events will be the WOW Golf Tournament on Monday, April 14th at Woodbridge Golf and Country Club.

Membership Drive

Become a member now (before we open) and take advantage of special pre-opening rates!

You will receive a “Charter Membership” which will be valid at the WOW for one year from opening day. The card will also allow you to visit (at discounted rates) over 250 institutions throughout the United States and the world that are members of the Association of Science and Technology Centers (ASTC). As a Charter Member, you will be invited to a private museum preview party a day or two in advance of the public opening.
