We are so pleased to announce that we now have our building permit, so let the construction begin! Fundraising efforts are underway to help offset the costs of construction for our tenant improvements and we are looking for certain aspects of construction to be underwritten by generous donors. For individuals who want to contribute specifically to construction or phases of construction, please contact the WOW (209-327-6369). Casino Night (Feb 29)

Outstanding DonationsThe community is really coming forward and supporting the World of Wonders Science Museum. On February 13th, the Lodi Community Foundation showed its support for the WOW and other local non-profit organizations. They presented us with a $250 donation at Dee Dee's Restaurant. Thank you! The local Dart plant here in Lodi will be presenting a $5,000 check to the museum this next week. The Dart Family Foundation from Mason, Michigan believes in supporting education (primarily math, science and engineering) and youth programs. The plant manager in the Lodi Dart facility read an article about the WOW and applied for this grant. Thank you, Dart! We are also thrilled to announce that this week the local Wal-Mart will be presenting the WOW with a $25,000 check. Wal-Mart is also very supportive in our community and we are pleased to know that they also believe that the WOW will make a difference in the lives of children and families; thank you Wal-Mart! Every generous dollar, no matter how large or small, will help the WOW reach its fundraising goal to bring this exciting hands-on museum for all ages to the Central Valley. If you are interested in helping the WOW, either financially or by volunteering, please learn how you can help. 15 Minutes of FameOn February 28th, Sally Snyde and Jay Bell will be interviewed by Sacramento and Company on their Channel 10 morning show between 9 and 10 am. Tune in to watch the festivities! Thanks for being a supporter of the museum and be sure to tell everyone you know about our efforts and needs. Please forward this newsletter to anyone who might be interested. Best Wishes, Sally Snyde, President |
