Additional Summer Camp Added!
July 11, 2020We’re Excited to Welcome Back Guests Starting Thursday, Oct. 8th!
October 3, 2020Dear WOW Enthusiasts,
2020 started off with a bang! At the World of Wonders Science Museum, we were looking forward to our most successful year on record. By February, our popular educational WOW on Wheels and Field Study Trip programs were almost booked through May of this year.
The Moon Walk exhibit, in honor of the 50th Anniversary of the Apollo 11 first walk on the moon, has brought students and families across the Valley to experience how it feels to walk on the moon. The Lodi Lions Club sponsored Reaching for the Stars on March 8. Former NASA astronaut José M. Hernández, a crew member of Space Shuttle mission STS-128 and American engineer, came and shared his personal journey of becoming an astronaut, his lifelong dream.
Here is how the World of Wonders Science Museum impacted our educational communities in 2019:
- Our educational programs grew to serve students from more than 48 cities.
- We brought WOW on Wheels right into the classrooms of more than 19,000 students.
- More than 70,000 guests visited the WOW Museum.
- Over 16,000 students attended Field Study Trips.
- 150 science-themed birthday parties delighted our young scientists.
AND THEN COVID-19 HIT!
With the closure of all the schools throughout our state in mid-March, the WOW Museum was forced to minimize activities, and close its doors to the public. Our educational programs represent 55% of the museum’s income. For the WOW Museum, this has crippled our ability to engage, educate, and inspire the youth in our communities. We are still unable to be open to the public.
We believe in the World of Wonders Science Museum and its future. We have, and will continue to spread the JOY OF LEARNING to students throughout the Central Valley and beyond. After 10+ years we know the formula for delivering a sustainable science museum to the region and Together, with your help, we can bring the museum back to pre-COVID levels.

Thank you for the critical role you play in supporting the WOW Museum today and into the future,
The WOW Team and Board of Directors
